Dr. Lukáš Novák's talk on Physics-informed Polynomial Chaos Expansion

© CRE
CRE organized an event where Dr. Lukáš Novák from Brno University of Technology talked about the Physics-informed Polynomial Chaos Expansion and showcased some of his latest results.

Physics-Informed Polynomial Chaos Expansion (PCE2) is a methodology designed to create surrogate models for complex and computationally expensive mathematical models. It can be used in physics-informed machine learning as an efficient surrogate model allowing for analytical uncertainty quantification.

Dr. Novák from Brno University of Technology visited CRE on July 8-12, 2024. During his visit, he delivered an interesting talk on Physics-informed Polynomial Chaos Expansion and showcased some of his latest results, which are impressive. In particular, he illustrated how his work can generate highly effective surrogate models using limited computational power. His talk covered the innovative approach of combining experimental data with physical constraints to create more accurate and efficient surrogate models, with applications spanning various fields that require uncertainty quantification.

Our team appreciated the opportunity to interact with him and explore various new ideas. We are eager to foster a fruitful collaboration with Dr. Novak for years to come!
